What do I do with it?

The manifesto expresses what you’re passionate about right now. It can speak for your entire brand, a brand value you want to highlight, an upcoming season or project, or a specific product or service.

Use it word-for-word as a script for a brand video. Use it to express the heart of your brand online and in pitches to new clients. Pull phrases from it for web, marketing and social copy. Let it inspire new ideas, like you would a visual mood board. It’s up to you!


Give me an example! 

In late 2017, I wrote a 300-word proprietary manifesto for Sporting KC’s 2018 season launch. They've used the ending word-for-word on social (left) and quoted large sections for their 2018 in-stadium hype video (top right).  They also asked me to write a video treatment based on the manifesto; they used it to inspire their 2018 season launch video (bottom right).
